1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, joining, and participating in our expat community in Turin, you confirm that you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all users who engage with our website, attend events, utilize our services, and participate in any form of interaction organized or endorsed by our community.
2. Purpose and Scope of the Community
Our platform is dedicated to providing a supportive, social environment for expatriates, travelers, and foreigners in Turin, Italy. We aim to create opportunities for members to connect, network, and form meaningful friendships through organized events and activities. The community strictly prohibits the use of this platform for unauthorized commercial activity, harassment, discrimination, or any unlawful actions. Our mission is to promote cultural exchange, friendship, and local exploration in an inclusive setting.
3. Event Participation and Registration Requirements
All events hosted or organized by our community are exclusive to registered members. Each event may have specific registration requirements that members must adhere to, such as timely RSVP and compliance with event guidelines. Members are expected to participate in a manner that upholds the community’s integrity and goals, showing respect and consideration for organizers and fellow participants.
- Event Fees: Some events may have a participation fee to cover venue costs, refreshments, or event-specific materials. Members will be informed of any associated fees during registration, and refunds will only be granted if requested within the timeframe specified by the event organizers.
- Cancellation Policy: Members are asked to inform organizers as early as possible in case of cancellation to maintain accurate attendance and allow others to join.
4. Standards of Conduct and Respect
The community values respect, kindness, and inclusivity among all members. Members are expected to:
- Show respect to all participants, regardless of background, language, culture, gender, or nationality.
- Avoid discriminatory or offensive language that could harm others. Harassment, offensive comments, or exclusionary behaviors are not tolerated.
- Maintain a welcoming environment to foster a supportive and safe space for everyone.
- Follow event-specific rules as communicated by organizers. We reserve the right to deny participation or membership to individuals who engage in inappropriate, disruptive, or harmful behaviors. Members who have been removed from the community for rule violations will not be allowed to rejoin under any circumstances.
5. Event Liability
While we strive to create a safe and positive environment for all events, our community is not liable for any incidents, damages, or losses that may occur during organized activities or events. Each participant is responsible for their personal well-being and is encouraged to follow safety recommendations from event organizers.
- Medical Emergencies: Members are responsible for their own medical needs and should inform organizers if they require special accommodations. It is advised to have personal health insurance coverage for emergencies for outside activities, like hiking, bouldering or any outside sports.
- Personal Belongings: Attendees are solely responsible for safeguarding their personal items during events. The community and its organizers are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
6. Privacy and Data Protection Policy
Protecting member privacy is a priority. All personal information provided during event registration or profile creation is stored securely and used solely for managing memberships, event planning, and community activities. Data will not be shared with any third parties without explicit consent from the members involved.
- Email Communication: By joining the community, members agree to receive emails about upcoming events, updates, and announcements. Members may opt-out at any time by contacting the administration.
- Photo and Video Release: During events, photos and videos may be taken to capture memorable moments. Members consent to the use of these images on the website and social media for community promotion unless they explicitly request exclusion.
7. Membership Termination and Modification of Terms
Membership can be terminated at any time by the member or by the community organizers if the member violates the code of conduct or any other terms outlined in this document. We also reserve the right to amend or modify these Terms and Conditions as the community evolves, and members will be notified of any significant changes.
- Termination by Member: A member may request termination of their membership at any time by contacting the administration team. Upon termination, all data associated with the member will be deleted according to our privacy policy.
- Members who have been removed from our community for not respecting our rules, will not be added back again and will not be accepted at our events. If they buy a ticket for our events, we will give them a refund as soon as possible. Community members who bring in members who have been removed may be removed too, for motivating to break our rules.
- Amendments to Terms: We may modify these Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect community growth and legal compliance. Changes will be posted on the website, and a notification will be sent to all members in case of significant updates.
8. Our commitment is to provide a safe and friendly space for everyone. If at any time you experience inappropriate, bothersome, or disrespectful behavior from another member, please let us know right away. We prioritize the confidentiality of your report and will take necessary steps to either sanction or, if needed, remove the individual who is violating our guidelines.

10. Torino Gathering provides the infrastructure to organize activities. In the case of gross negligence by the organizers, Torino Gathering therefore does not accept any legal responsibility for resulting damages. Neither Torino Gathering nor the event organizers assume liability for any loss of or damage to personal property, nor shall they be held responsible in the event of financial, physical, or emotional damage.
